I am a writer, but especially would like to live abroad, and am currently making notions to do just that, I am also a veteran of 25 years Navy. Finally, I've also had several heart operations, so hospital proximities are critical to me--20 mins max?? (as well as efficient living practices and locations to nutritional foods).
At the moment, I would like to research and write about the capabilities and depth of medical services for area hospitals and institutions. I have not read many reports or research on this topic, which would be critical in an assessment on where to ultimately reside.
I have narrowed my scope to Belize, Columbia, and now, Panama, for comparisons sake. I am sure many retirees have this in the back of their mind, and so my writing will hopefully explore this issue in more detail.
Any helpful advice would be most welcome!! Thanks in advance!
