Bank Account Opening for a European Expat

Hi Everyone,

I tried lately (May) to open a current account with MultiBank and BanIstmo in PC. Provided them with recommendations from two European Tier-1 Banks as well as all personal ID's and Home Country Tax info. Six weeks later neither Bank has opened the Account, nor are they giving me any info regarding the status of their due dilligence.

Is that normal, and what can someone do about it?

I am using a well known Immigration Lawyers Office in PC, but they also seem to be out of ideas.
