We are planning to start our long term vacation next spring. We are not moving with the plan to stay, but taking the attitude that we are going to spend 3 to 5 years moving around Panama and a few other countries on a long-term adventure.
We are planning right now to rent at least 6 months in each location, possibly longer if we really like the area and want to learn more about it.
We are researching options for shipping more than a few suit cases to Panama. We have started to create a list of items to take in hopes of whittling it down more and more. We know that many things we can just buy, but there are things that it would be very expensive to purchase. One example we just learned about from someone on a mission in Ecuador was that a Vitamix blender was over $1K, they broke down and had their son fly down with it and more.
SO we are as complete as we can be in researching this topic, what other options for shipment are available, other than a few extra trips back? We are not looking to move an entire container unless we decide to finally settle down. More than what excess baggage, but less than a pallet load. Time for delivery would not be critical, best rates would be the top item.
