My husband and I have sold off or given away most of our possessions in preparation for our move to Playa Las Lajas this fall. There are a few things I'm having trouble parting with and wanted to reiterate what I think I've heard: 1.) I have to sell my vintage Eames naugahyde chairs because the supports are oak and the wood will swell with the humidity?, 2.) My framed vintage magazines and family photos need to stay in the US because the humidity will warp the paper in the frame? 3.) My beloved metal drafting table should not make the trip because it will rust if I leave windows open to ocean air? Also ( just to get the guys going), is there a good hair salon in Bouquete or David that knows gringa hair? And is there somewhere to buy quality cosmetics or should I bring them? Thanks in advance for your advice!
