lack of Longer Term Rental Property

I am amazed how little inventory or at least listing for people wanting to live a t least a year with the intent to permanently relocate to Panama. We are interested in Altos Del Maria (I lived there for 6 months before) or in Coronado, New Gorgona or other beach areas even as far out as Rio Hato to consider, (but definitely not in Panama City). We'd like to be in areas where we will find a community of Expats from North America along with the wonderful Panamanians .
All I seem to find is listing by the night, week or month which are totally unaffordable.
We are looking at next Summer for our move.
