Suggestion on small rural community.

Hi. My husband and I will be coming for a visit in the spring and hope to retire there. We have always liked rural living and currently live at 8000 ft in the Colorado mountains, therefore are used to cooler climates. Having said that, we are pretty burned out from the October to June winters. We are friendly but value our privacy and like to garden. We are used to driving for occasional entertainment and my husband does like to golf. Can you suggest a small rural quiet community for us to visit for a possible settling site?
