Exploring options in the Mountains

I am new. I would like to here from people wo live in the mountains of panama. I have visited only one area and that was Boquete. I am just starting my retirement journey and have many question and want to here from other ex pats or soon to be expats on their experiences. I will hope to make the move in Oct 2018. I woulda l also like to know about other mountain communities that have other ex pats living their. I do not want a big city but I need to have Medical near or with in a couple hours drive or a plane trip..
I will be a single women embarking on a dream. So everyone let me know aboutplave and things in Panama. PS I am not one for the beach. I love the mountains. To give you an Idea I use to live in Vail Co and love the mountins there.
