Retire in Panama

I have no doubt we are going to retire there probably around LaChorrera because that is where my wifes family is.
But we continute to have a discussion as to my ability to stay and if I need a Visa. She is obviously a citizen of Panama. And thinks because we are married I should be able to stay.
We should be returning next year some time and just want to make sure we are not going to have problems. She has family that are lawyers there so when we get back we will see them also but I just want to be prepared
