Moving to Panama City

We are making plans to move to Panama within the next year. I’ve been to Panama several times. My husband runs a part of his company in Panama. He would love us to move there. However visiting a city is much different than living in one you are not familiar with. We are coming from the US where I’m use to the “conveniences” of life...shopping, restaurants, online shipping, etc. but I’m willing to try something new. I realize things are not perfect in Panama. But I at least want to live in a safe area.
So if money was no object...where do people recommend moving too (the specific area or community within the city) and it can be a condo or a house. Be specific as to why. Thx
