CHEQUE DE GERENCIA

If I have someone pick up a 'CHEQUE DE GERENCIA' on my behalf to take to another bank, is there any risk involved with that?

i.e. I authorize them to pick up the cheque - and clear that with the bank.

If the cheque is made out in my name, is there any way it can be screwed with?

The idea is that they take the cheque from one bank and walk it to the other bank and lodge it to my account (with that second bank).

In case anyone is wondering why I dont do it - i'm not in panama.
