I am planning my first trip to Panama to explore the country and its people, and decide whether to move there on a long-term basis. I'm wondering what happens when I encounter my first airport customs official. I'm wondering if it is a check of your passport and little else usually or if the official checks other data bases, or interrogates you on many things. I'm hoping many of you will share your experiences at the airport when arriving for the first time and requesting only a visitor's visa. Thank you.
