I would be curious to know everyone's experience using AirBnb. I just got back from traveling and having totally bad experiences.
I have to confess that mostly, I have mostly tried rooms on the budget end, but even when I stepped up, I was disappointed.
What I am realizing, it that with AirBnb, you are hiring amateurs for your hospitality needs. But hospitality is not a simple service-there is a lot to it. And the host reviews are not reliable, in my experience.
I could list all the shortfalls that I have run into. But the bottom line for me is that when I travel, I don't want to deal with the problems...It is better to spend a few more bucks in most cases and get a hotel room. At least the reviews are fairly reliable.
