Hopefully someone here can give us a better understanding of how things work when you want to built your home and/or for example bungalows to receive tourists in Panama.
My girlfriend and I are searching for places to live in Panama and Belize to start our business in receiving tourists. What is very difficult to find is clear info about the good and bad of building on your property. I have asked in some expat facebook pages but nobody shared a good reliable contractor (Bocas del Toro area) and or gave us advice.
I heard from one person in Belize he had to wait 4 years for a construction permit in Panama when he was living there. I hope this is a very unlucky case and not something that happens regularly?
A real estate agent told me to expect around $1200 per square meter for a nice construction, it all depends on materials and what you want to built of course but even then this seems to be very high?
Any info is welcome and very much appreciated!!!!
