Roof Construction

We are just now getting our roof framed. I refuse to use the cheap teja lite plastic tile as this stuff cracks and leaks in a few years.

The alternative leak-proof roof I wanted was Plycem panels, a waterproof membrane like Firestone Clad Gard, and then Teja Lite for aesthetics. The builder thinks that the Pycem panels are too heavy.

Plan B is to use corrugated zinc as the roof decking instead of Plycem. Now the builder says that he can't screw the Teja Lite to the corrugate zinc because its not flat. I am recommending wood or metal battens over the corrugated zinc and then the Teja Lite.

Anyone have advice for roof construction? What methods work and what methods have constant leaks?
