Looking for a feedback

Hi to All,
My wife and I are planning to visit Panama sometime in November-beg of December of 2019 for the first time for a week. We are in our mid-late 50s and have relocation plans to the country in about 10 years. I read a lot about the areas in regards to the safety, home purchasing, shopping, etc. but still would like to hear more from you if possible.
Also, any suggestions on what to see/visit there for that short period of time?
We presently live in North Carolina and moved here about a year ago from Maryland.
