Beach Locations

My husband and I are coming to Panama with a view to retiring there. Originally I was open to all areas but after careful consideration I have decided I need to be near the sea. We are coming for a month and thinking of staying a week in Panama City, a week in Coronado, which sounds perfect but looking for any other suggestions. I like cities but prefer to be on the outskirts with good public transport links if I want to go in. I have lived all my life near water and it’s too late to change now.
I’m learning Spanish but prefer to be in an area with other ex pats.
Any suggestions would welcome.
