Hello All,
I'm wondering if there are any from Canada or elsewhere that can help clarify something for me.
Currently, it looks like to qualify for the Pensionado Visa, a guaranteed income of $1000 per month is needed through a pension, Social Security or annuity income.
My question is really twofold: Is there a "buffer" needed when receiving these funds from Canada to account for currency exchange rates in the future, or simply the equivalent of $1000 US at the time of applying for the visa?
Also, is there any considerations of monies in a bank account in lieu of the pension? When we are ready to retire and sell our property in Canada, we would have enough in the bank to equate to about 57 years using the $1000 a month requirement. I wasn't planning to live past 120, so is this taken into account, or is the requirement strict in the sense that it has to come only from the sources listed?
Thanks
