Up front - I haven’t visited yet so I don’t have firsthand experience. The plan was to come down in June for 2 weeks and have a look around (and ride the bus as much as possible). That obviously is on hold…..
But my question, what is the bus service like in Panama? It seems like there is reliable service throughout the entire country. Do you or anyone you know use the bus as primary transportation?
I’d, ideally, like to settle in a small community which has a food market within walking/bicycling distance of home. And also have bus service back to a larger city for the occasional shopping run and to Panama City for cultural events and catching a flight out to visit family. I’d like to forgo owning an auto, just because, and the expense too, but would probably have an adventure motorcycle for exploring the country.
I’d like to hear about your bus adventures, good and bad. Thanks… Dave
