I’m not sure if the mail service has been shut down as a non-essential service, but every time I have been to the post office the doors have been locked.
Assuming there is no mail service I thought I had better get on the phone to my pension provider to ensure continuation of my direct deposits would not be affected and they had not put anything in the mail that they were waiting on me to answer, ie. Proof of life form.
This might be something others want to consider as it can be a major pain getting payments restarted once they are stopped. I found the agent to be very helpful and more flexible than normal with circumstances being as they are, willingly flagging my file and adding the need to contact via phone or email due to the present communication problems.
