Panama high RE prices

I would like to know how prices for 2000 SF 3 bed homes in Boquete or David or other towns can be SO expensive!! I mean...where is the deals??? WHY would someone move to a place for the same they cn livein Las Vegas or Phoenix or FL??

I find it also interesting that MANY American RE agents and companies have set up shop that coincides with ridiculous prices for a coutry of this stature. The same thing happened in last 15 years to Costa Rica.....3rd world type countries can not charge American prices or what is the point of moving????? And losing your rights as a citizen???
