Hola Everyone!
I'm Kristin, my husband is Jim. About 6 months ago, we began looking at Panama as a place to retire (not soon enough!). We lived on a small island in the Caribbean, so we're used to living in a places that have a slower pace, less available, etc., etc.
What I am very interested in, however, (and I did try to search a specific topic here but found nothing,) is what the political 'climate' is in Panama (generally speaking)?
To be quite honest, we are now looking to escape the "Left Haters, Right Haters" situation in the US over any other reasons. I've done enough research on Panama to know it would fit our needs in most every other way. I just don't want to move to a country that has just as much political strife. Frankly, it's getting scary and tiresome in the US.
Having said that, Panama is #1 on our list for places to retire so far!
Thanks and look forward to hearing from you.
Kristin
