Hello all!
New to the site...tonight! Moving appx April next year.. House shopping first week of Dec. Been studying up for a year or so. Cannot find a detailed answer even on Customs sites; How detailed does the list have to be? IE, can I load up a tote with silverware, spatulas etc or toolbox with various wrenches screwdrivers etc and list them generically as:
One box 'Kitchen utensils' and One toolbox, 'Assorted automotive tools'? Or do I have to list individual items::'Ten, used teaspoons' or 'One, used 9/16" combination wrench' ?
In the same vein, can I pack a box of spices for cooking? We both cook and have small fortune invested in them. They are mostly open and we would line the box with a plastic bag, seal the bag inside and then tape/seal the box. We are shipping a 40' container with vehicle and household goods. Pensionado visa. Which by the way, is only about $3200 thru icontainers! I will of course retain a customs agent. but want to get started on this. Thank you all for your advice!
