Bus travel

With the current Covid situation, what is bus travel from PC to David like? We are planning a trip soon (maybe this week) to start the visa process. We are waiting on our final document to be legalized. Looking at coming by air to David is terrible. 16 hours and 53 minute layover, overnight, in PC. It looks like taking the bus from PC to David would be easier, but is it still running hourly, and what would be the restrictions?
