Preparing for Relo to Boquette

Hola,
After many visits to the area, I have decided to relo to Boquette. My goal is to arrive on September 1st. My preference would be to share a residence with an Expat family, couple, or single for a few months while I sort things out. I would rather save my reserves for other expenses, so renting a room in a house would be great. I have no idea what I am asking. Its a shot in the dark. I just know I am headed that way. Establishing a friendly connection in the meantime would be great. My Spanish suffers, so I am working on that. I am retired, so pensionado status will be a possibility. Any helpful advice would be welcomed.
