Expat or Immigrant?

Expat? Immigrant? Repat? Nomad? Global citizen? Something else?
How do you identify? And why?

I'll start. I was wondering why the search for "immigrant community" in Panama usually brings up working class population info, but "expat community" seems to distinguish retirees. Is there really a difference?
Even if you obtain citizenship, aren't you still an immigrant?

I'm not looking to start a chat war, but I am curious why we're drawn to a specific identity and, maybe, shunning another.

Thanx for chiming in =)
