FN Visa: Can it be done last minute?

Hello all!

With the FN Visa changes, my husband and I are looking at trying to get everything in prior to the August 5th deadline. We have been in touch with a few attorneys recommended here--one cannot do it, but Kraemer and Kraemer says they can. What I am trying to wrap my head around is what needs to happen on our end in very short fashion with regards to document retrieval and apostille process. I have poured over the attorney websites, but I am curious what your experiences are in the ability to get everything quickly. What held you up? What were some unexpected challenges? I am concerned about also having all of the required information to open the bank account as well as it looks like people can be denied if your due diligence isn't diligent enough!

We are not yet eligible for the pensionado program, so we had planned for quite some time now to go this FN route, but the recent changes are forcing a quick pivot. I just want to feel confident that I can have everything in order in time to go to Panama in July or if I am fooling myself that this can done.

Any feedback would most appreciated.

Thank you!
