Air conditioning & altitude

Hello,

Below which altitude would you say that air conditioning is needed in mainland Chiriquí?

Clearly in Volcanito, there is no need for air conditioning. In David, I assume most people will need it. Where would most people draw the line in feet or meters?

Maybe the answer is not exactly the same during the rainy season, or to sleep comfortably at night. I do not know...
