After reading the different varying posts on the healthcare system there I think I"ll just stay in the Southern US where the cost isn't so bad and yes, expensive healthcare system but one I'm familiar with and I have 3 different health insurance policies in case I need them. Medicare ( only good in the US ), Tricare for Life and Blue Cross/ Blue Shield Federal Employees Program. And yes, medicare is good outside the US in certain cases. I know of a person who lived on Guam and was admitted to Guam Memorial. Upon Guamanian doctor recommendations they evacuated him to Manila ( St Lukes Hospital ) for his procedure. Medicare picked up the tab because the emergency began in Guam, a US territory. Actually medicare saved a lot of money for paying for the procedure in Manila than it would of being on Guam, US territory.
