We’re planning our next 2-month visit to Boquete but my wife is becoming uneasy about the political/social situation.
She has been hearing rumors from her Panamanian friends and relatives about increasing violent crimes and resentment directed at gringo tourists.
I understand that there are some risks in areas around Darien and the Mosquito Gulf, as usual, but I have no intention of going to those places or engaging in any kind of risky behavior.
I am wondering if anyone has noticed a change in attitude towards expats in the Boquete/David area since last year.
