Apparently, personal checks up to $3K on a U.S. bank account can be deposited in a Panamanian bank account and will clear for deposit into the Panamanian bank account in about 15 days. Any known issue(s) with a U.S. bank objecting to (or having a problem with) personal U.S. checks being deposited into a foreign (Panamanian) bank account?
