Working remotely for a few weeks

We were in Panama over Christmas and New Year and really, really enjoyed it. Returning back to the US to snow/rain and endless grey skies, we thought it would be fun to go back down and spend a few weeks in the sunshine ‘working from home’. Is there anything to consider if we do this? Can we just arrive on a tourist visa?
