Laws regarding voice recordings

I spent the past three hours trying to find out if it is legal for me to record the condo association meeting I have tomorrow morning.

I can't find anything.

I believe it is generally legal to record things in places where people have no "reasonable expectation of privacy" so I'm going to do it unless someone tells me that I am likely to go directly to jail without passing GO! or collecting $200 if I get caught.

I suppose I could tell everyone that I'm doing it but that might prevent the information I need from coming out.

I don't expect a formal legal opinion, but if anyone has any thoughts, guesses, or vague ideas I would be glad to hear them.

We're dealing with tax fraud, illegal labor practices, bribery, theft and general nastiness, so SOMEONE will be very sad if I ever make this information available to the authorities.
