Hi everyone, My husband and I are planning an exploratory trip to Panama in October to look at a few areas of interest to live. We are Canadian and retiring in the fall of 2023. We are interested in the areas of either Bocas or around David. I have read through a number of the articles and forum posts, but have a few questions. If someone could kindly assist would be appreciated!
We are thinking of signing up for a private relocation tour for our exploration trip in October, we believe this will help us narrow & focus our search.....are these types of tours advantageous/helpful and worth the cost?
We have pets, 2 dogs, both retrievers, are there many renting options in the areas of Bocas and David that will accept our dogs, offer a fenced yard? (as I understand Panamanians are not as crazy about canine's as we are)
I've read a number of posts regarding banking challenges in establishing an account, transferring funds etc. Is it simpler to open an account and wire transfer funds from a Canadian bank to Panama, or is it worth the effort of having pensions deposited directly to a Panamanian bank?
I'm sure there's many more considerations and factors to each of those questions, but looking for some general insights. Thanks for your time!
