Hi,
I am planning to try out remote work in Panama, specifically Panama City some time in the next couple of months. Since I am in teleconference/zoom meetings for most of the day (and occasionally with very important clients) stable internet and electricity are a must. I looked around the forum and looks like at least one of the posts indicates that electricity is pretty stable. But I was also reading some articles online saying that Panama City tends to have some rationing and potential outages at the end of the summer due to lack of water for powerplants. Further I saw some buildings in Avenida Balboa area specifying they have their own emergency generators, which is great, but also makes it seem as the outages do happen frequently enough if they are investing in generators.
So I wanted to doublecheck and hear from some of you who live specifically in and around Costa del este, Avenida Balboa or El Cangrejo what your experiences are regarding internet/electricity in the area. Internet from everything I've seen seems to be more than enough (100mbps and up) but that's of little help if electricity can go out.
Thanks
