I lived in Panama for awhile as a child, on the Pacific side. I could see Thatcher Ferry Bridge from my yard and was quite close to the Causeway. I want to retire in Panama but I basically have 1 shot at convincing my husband about what a wonderful place it is. We plan to visit and he would be most comfortable where he could speak with a few expats, I speak Spanish, but he struggles. He is an avid golfer and tennis player and likes hiking. I would like to take him somewhere where he could enjoy a day of golf and some hiking. I think Panama will work it’s magic on him if he feels he can continue a few of his interests in retirement. I am already convinced, I grew up with the noisy parakeets and a mango tree in the back yard and the occasional iguana lounging around the front yard. I would love suggestions about the best places to rent hotels or plan visits.
