Thank You! Taking First Step

Thank you to all who provided your advice. It was the friendliness that made a difference. I lived in Panamá but had a hard time convincing my husband that the quality of life is wonderful depending on what you are looking for. Activity is our main goal. Things like walking, hiking, golf, tennis, or bicycling is what we are looking for. Heat, humidity, bugs, snakes all OK, we’ve lived in TX, FL, and now NC, where we have an abundance of all those things. What I’m mainly looking to escape is this: When the moon hits your eye at 4:45, it’s November. The days grow very short here and when it’s pitch black at 5:30 pm I think I have to sleep at 7. I do not like the time change and shorter days. We now have a plan for visiting. Land in David, rent a car and travel through Volcan and Boquete, and try and see Bocas del Torro. I used to live close to Balboa and the Causeway, and we would take trips to El Valle, so I’m not as familiar with the Boquete area, but as I’ve been reading advice, it appears like the best way to introduce him. If there are specific things to show him, or restaurants where we might run into expats, I will plan to go. He does not want to feel isolated and depend on me for communication 100% As always, thanks.
