WellsFargo to Banistmo Wire Transfer

Something of a follow up to the banking forum threads started on 24 April...

I've been making deposits to my Banistmo account via check from a WellsFargo account, with funds reliably available in 21 days.

I want of try a wire transfer (3 day funds availability) but learned the use of an intermediary bank is necessary. I received a list of US Banks Banistmo uses, BofA and Chase among them.

My question: has anyone used an intermediary bank for a wire transfer from a US bank to Panama bank? How do you rate the process?
