VA healthcare

For the veterans living in Panama. I have signed up for the Foreign Medical Program but they weren’t too helpful with info. When I’m in Panama do I get an assigned primary provider? Someone in Panama? Do all specialists, tests and interventions require an authorization? Because here in the Fay NC region that is a long process lauded over by a very hateful PA primary care person. I’m hoping it’s easier there. Do you have a primary back in the states? Do you return to the US, say Miami for example, for specialized treatment? I know VA will only pay for service connected care but do your providers see you for other complaints anyway? Thank you all for your service and commitments.
