Panama Banking/Estate Planning Question

Since I'm planning to wait a while before buying real estate in Panama, I'm looking to avoid formal estate planning here at this point.

In the US, I'm able to designate a Payable on Death beneficiary on my bank accounts, meaning they will pass to my designated beneficiary without going through probate. So I'm curious if Panama allows for a PoD beneficiary on bank accounts, and if so, does anyone have any insight into how well the process works when the beneficiary is not in Panama?

I'll ask my lawyer also, but I'm hoping folks here might have some relevant personal experience to share. Thanks for any information you can provide!
