Reasonable rental budget

So for what I'm sure are obvious reasons, I am considering a move from David to Panama City once my lease ends in April. I've been looking on Encuentra24 to try to get a sense of what a reasonable rental budget would be for a 1-2 bedroom unfurnished apartment in the Obarrio/Marbella/La Cresta/El Cangrejo/El Carmen area.

The range of what's available goes from $500 to $3000+. So I'm hoping to narrow that down a bit more before I start reaching out to real estate agents. What's a reasonable price range to be considering for a secure and well-maintained building in those neighborhoods? (Amenities like a gym, swimming pool, parking space, etc. aren't important to me.)
