I just watched a video interview about two women driving to Panama through Central America.

She recommended not getting a pet health certificate until getting ready to cross into Guatamala. She said that Mexico doesn't care about the health certificates, but it is needed to enter Guatamala. She then had to get them certified again in Costa Rica.
Panama has this information about bringing pets into Panama:

But it is intended only for the Tocumen Airport route. I emailed the consulate about requirements for driving and received no response.
The video of the women who drove is very credible to me. It makes sense that if driving, Panamian authorities would want to have a very recent certification because of all the exposures that the animals have on the long drive.
Does anyone have recent experience with driving with pets into Panama?
