Dual Nationality

For those expats who were successful in (or currently in the process of) obtaining permanent residency in pursuit of a passport, how did you address the dual nationality issue? I'm curious. Thanks.

"According to Article 150 of the Paraguayan Constitution, naturalized Paraguayans may lose their nationality if they have an unjustified absence from the Republic of more than 3 years (as determined by a court), or by voluntary adoption of another nationality"
