What is the price and availability of property in the Piriapolis area (I don't want to be any distance from town).
Can one buy a plot of land in town and put a prefab house on it? (I might like to do that, depending on the availability of neat and tidy homes at an affordable price).
I would need a home with a garden for my cat. I hope that there aren't too many predatory animals in the town.
What is food shopping like in P.?
What are the main differences between the summer months (when it is more touristy) and winter ... does it close right down?
I have an old car which has low mileage on it. I could ship it, but that might be more expensive than buying a used car in Uruguay (which would also have the benefit of being LHD). Does anyone have experience of bringing their own car in? Or buying a used car?
