Hi all,
This is for all the fellow expats living in Slovenia who have experienced/are experiencing the same issue as me living there in the case of finding a job.
I have lived as a foreigner in multiple countries and I understand the importance of learning the native language, I am not new or against that and am in fact enjoying learning the language, but I find from personal experience that there is very little support in the job area for foreigners and most jobs I have been looking at require fluency in the language (other countries I've lived was never so inflexible in giving support to expats/immigrants). I am not able to get paid Slovenian lessons and therefore cannot excel at it fast enough while I actually still need to earn a living.
Does someone know someone who can help or somewhere that would accept an english/russian speaker and give an opportunity to move forward from this struggle?
Thank you for reading and I hope you can help.
Mishel
