Keeping A Horse In Spain

Hi
Has anyone got any experience of keeping a horse in Spain? We are contemplating retiring to Spain, but I would need to bring my horse [+ dogs] with me. I want to stable him on our own property preferably. Has anyone done this, if so I would love to hear what are the main differences involved, as compared to UK? Please give me the benefit of your experiences, thank you.
