Living in San Sebastian

I am married to someone from San Sebastian and have lived here for the past three and a half years. I have a couple of friends from here who I knew from London years ago. However, after all this time, I have found it difficult to really meet anyone else. Despite speaking Spanish fairly well (even a few Basque words!), people are fairly close-knit here. Yes, they can be very friendly but I get the impression that they have a plentiful social life with their own family and friends - they don't need to make friends with another person, especially not a foreigner! And I rarely meet any other foreigners living here (and I mean more than just the summer surf crowd!)...are there any? Am I the only one???!
