living in Spain for language practice

I need help on where I can live most economically in Spain with one important consideration: I want to practice speaking standard Castillian Spanish, in a place where where dialects and minority languages are not used.
Does anyone have suggestions?
I've lived many years in Europe and have learned other European languages but it annoyed me terribly when I spoke German or Dutch to a native they tried to respond in English. I'm looking for a cheap place to stay where the people speak Spanish and are not trying to practice English or jabbering in dialect.
