Hi there- My husband and I will not be moving to Spain, but we are planning on going to Europe for about 9 months next year (with our 9 year old son) and we'd like to hunker down in places for a good month at a time (thinking this would allow us to not be on the road at a frantic pace all the time and give us the chance to experience an area while maybe even saving $ by looking for a longer term rental). We're thinking about staying for a month or longer in Spain, Italy and maybe Greece or France. I'm wondering if anyone has any city/town suggestions. We're thinking good options might be cities an hour outside of bigger cities? We are pretty laid back, liberal and like funky, artistic communities. Any advice would be appreciated (and advice on doing this with kiddos too!). Thanks!
