Is there a place that's fairly warm most of the year, not touristy and near the ocean, say a village or town on a cliff overlooking the Med, where I could buy a small older house that is solidly built so I could write in peace and quiet yet commune with neighbors and have an outdoor market nearby? I'm single, a middle-aged but young-spirited woman, speak excellent Spanish and hope to do an online business involving paleography (deciphering), writing, editing and translation. Have read some of the posts about legalities and illegalities of buying real estate but would go visit and stay awhile wherever there seemed a chance of such a place. It's possible I'm dreaming since most seaside areas have been developed ad nauseum and that doesn't interest me at all! I was born too late and the 50s probably would have been ideal for this. I figured if anyone on this forum could help me, they would tell me, though that might be a dream, too.
