Want to come to valencia.

Just now starting make some contacts with ex-pats in Spain. It will be our first time in Spain, and we are starting from ground zero.
Will be looking for rental property, and the convenience of being close to some shopping. Would prefer not to need a car. Is that possible there. Any info that you could share, would be greatly appreciated.
